What is the Trailing Lock Balance?(Intraday)

S
Written by Sharon Segal

The Trailing Lock Balance is a dynamic drawdown model that follows the highest balance reached on your account during the trading day. πŸ“ˆ

As your account grows, the minimum allowed equity automatically moves upward to help lock in part of your progress. πŸ”’

✨ Example

Let’s say you have a $100,000 account with a 6% trailing drawdown:

  • Your initial drawdown floor starts at $94,000

  • During the day, your account balance grows to $102,000

  • Your drawdown floor will automatically move up to $95,880

If your equity later drops below $95,880, the account will be considered breached. ⚠️

Please note that the trailing lock follows the highest balance reached and does not move back down afterward.
